My Mission

Although anxiety disorders are among the most prevalent diagnoses across the lifespan, they are also among the most responsive to treatment. With my training and experience as a scientist-practitioner, I am dedicated to offering cutting edge, empirically supported treatments that have been proven to work for anxiety, OCD and related conditions. My aim is to provide a personalized experience wherein individuals learn strategies that have been shown to be most effective at reducing their symptoms, improving their quality of life, and enhancing their independent and long-term management of these conditions. Essentially, I want to train individuals and families to become experts at managing symptoms and to be empowered by this new “way of life.”

Client Reviews

There is both an art and a science to the practice of healing. Dr. Jacobsen has both of these components. She brings deep experience and compassionate insight in helping clients learn to manage their conditions. For me, she paced the education component, the skills practice, and the deeper counseling perfectly, and helped me to have a healthier outlook and the capacity to better care for myself and manage my situation. I am so grateful to have found one of the best in the field.
